Your Guide
Héctor Luquin Fernández
Héctor Luquin Fernández holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid and a qualification in Artistic Photography from the School of Arts and Crafts of Navarra. He has built a solid career dedicated to the research and promotion of cultural heritage.
He has further specialised through numerous courses in architectural heritage and cinema, and has carried out research at the Historical Archive of the Comillas Foundation as part of the Investigo Programme. He has also delivered seminars on the art and heritage of Comillas at the Comillas Foundation’s Lifelong Learning Programme and currently combines his research with cultural outreach through social media.
Throughout the tour, Héctor will share the history, architectural significance and fascinating stories that make La Portillasuch a unique historic residence.

For the first time, La Portilla opens its doors to welcome visitors on exclusive guided tours in small groups. During this 70-minute experience, you’ll explore the four floors of this remarkable private residence, including the former living quarters of the Marquises of Lamadrid, its outstanding architecture, original works of art and the unique Japanese-inspired murals painted by María Luisa Güell López.
